New Job!

So, my friend Marti worked for this place (at home) called Teletech. I have tried for the last 6 months to a year to get on board with them and finally did! Yeah! An actual real job working real hours from home! I will be doing technical/customer support for one of their clients who hires out customer service at home! Today is my first day of training. It has been an interesting couple of hours trying to get everyone’s workbooth set up, but we are getting there! I am really excited that I will have an actual paycheck coming in every 2 weeks, and I am actually an employee – not an independent contractor. If you have any questions, let me know! They are always looking for new people!

And of course, I am still selling Initials, Inc., so please let me know if you ever need or want anything for yourself or others! I love my purses and organizing bags!

Changing Blog name…

So I have decided to change the name of my Blog. It will still include family and personal writings, but I am such a crafty person ~ crochet, cakes, bracelets, pendents, direct selling etc. ~ that I have decided to go with a name that in all encompassing:

BLOGSTARRCREATIONS!

I will update my web address at some point to reflect the new name. In the mean time, it is still www.blogstarrmom.com.

Baby Crochet Cocoon – Hungry Hungry Caterpillar

A friend of mine asked me to make a baby cocoon for her to give to a friend having a baby. Their family loves The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar, so after searching for a pattern and not finding one I really liked, I came up with my own. It’s very simple and turned out perfect if I do say so myself. I did not write a pattern for it, so I would be winging it if I made one again.

The body is done in hdc, as well as the hat. I stitched the eyes, nose and pupils separately then stitched them on the hat. The antennae are crocheted as well in a small circular form. I kept a long tail and stitched them on top of the hat.

The family plans to use the set as a photo prop for some baby pictures. I cannot wait to see them!
